Guided breathing
Follow the circle: breathe in as it grows, breathe out as it shrinks. If the pace is not comfortable, simply breathe more slowly, without effort.
Ready? Press "Start".
Why it helps
An exhale that is longer than the inhale slows the heart rate and signals to the body that it can relax a little. It does not resolve the sadness – it gives a few minutes of steadiness to carry on.
If you feel dizzy, stop and return to normal breathing. In especially hard hours: crisis lines.
